today was the first day of school. I would say im excited to be back but im not. I really miss the summer and im not looking foward to the start of school. Over the summer i climbed the 3rd tallest mountian in cali and the 30th tallest in the USA
8/9/16today was the second day of school and it's not so bad yet. all my teachers seem really cool(expecially dr. neat). I already have homework and im looking forward to the weekend.
8/10/16today was the first webnesday challenge. I was pretty pumped with my group. I had Jess, Cristian, and Evan. I've known Evan for awhile cause run xc with his older brother. Hopefully the spagetti bridge will work out better for me this week.
8/11/16today we discussed ideas for the spagetti bridge. we had a lot of good ideas. one was to make a bunch of x's and we test that and it didnt eally work. the other was to have a flat triangle, so we tested that and it didnt really work either. So we decided to combine the to in to a triangular prism with x's in between for support. im excited to see how it turns out.
8/12/16today Mr. Miller came up with the idea for the vetrans to make a saftey video. Curios on how its going to turn out.
8/15-19/16 week 2this week we started filming the video and Dr. Neat and Mr. Miller want it done by the end of the week. The group ecided to make me the star of the film because the said "I wear my hat backwards." So yeah. The video is going to be on saftey and i get to do a bunch o saf stuff. Also something im really excited about is the jpl invention challenge rules came out today. the objective is to get a cup from point A to point B as fast as possible without spilling any water. I had some ideas similar to other people in the group like the over head track and the car. but i had two ideas that no one elso thought of. I was think of kind of like vacuum like a airplans toliet that would suck the water and fish into the cup. And my last one was a combination of my idea and Connors. Connor had the i dea of a sisscor lift thing and i was thing is the sisscor thing can push the the cup onto a treadmeal like thing that could take the cup to point B. It was a pretty good week in principles of engineering
8/22-26/16 week 3this week was very similar to last week. we talked more into depth on the jpl invention challenge, worked on bridges, and made some finishing touches on the saftey video.still not tired with school yet so im good.

9/1/16today is my first xc meetand the day we test our bridges. so im kind of nervious today. i was a little disapointed with our bridge because it did better in the tests then in the actual competition. but whatever i guess. at least we didnt get last.
9/2/16today we learned how to make or fill out a webnesday challenge form. It was a little boring for me but it was informational for the rookies.
9/7/16today i wasnt in class due to a dentist appointment. Also today i learned today that i have a race tommorow and im not sure if im running varsity or not. So yeah.
9/8/16today we got split up into teams for the jpl invention challenges. I choose to be on the pump/vacuum design which was my design. I have a few ideas one on the lines of a airplanes lavatory.
